Hey! My name is

Sam

I reseach brains and how they change over time

I'm currently finishing a PhD in Computational Psychiatry & Neuroscience at University College London.

About

I am a cognitive neuroscientist based in London. We use advanced methods to deconstruct people's choices into the recipes they used to make them.

For example, why did you decide to keep reading?

Choices reveal how our brains work and are linked to our wellbeing. Through this work, we hope to better predict and treat common mental disorders.

My PhD is supervised by Prof Tobias Hauser (UCL/Tübingen University) and Professor Oliver Robinson (UCL). I also receive mentorship from Prof Essi Viding (UCL) and Dr Patricia Lockwood (University of Oxford/University of Birmingham), and funding from the Medical Research Council and Wellcome Trust.

I started my research career as a Clinical Research Assistant at the University of Cambridge working with Professor Roger Barker.

I'm also a graduate of UCL's Brain & Mind Sciences MSc & the University of Bristol (Experimental Psychology).

I'm currently thinking about my next role, so please get in touch if you'd like to discuss this.
